Today was my first time eating from Gino's. I didn't really know what to expect since this place never looks busy, but I decided to let the food do the talking on this one. The eggplant parm sandwich was good, but was nothing out of the ordinary. The fries were done the right way and didn't disappoint. I'll probably eat here again.

I was on my own for lunch today because Gian and Seth's wackness in the lunch department continued. While the harvest burger was not as great as it usually is, it still made for a filling meal. I'm not going to lie, I didn't eat most of my fries, so Mr. Nick got a good amount of my leftovers.

I wasn't in much of a mood for anything today, so i stopped by Natures Way after a run to the post office and grabbed a Clif Bar. These always seem to fill me up when i want something quick. The carrot cake one is my favorite. On the real, XXX is the best flavor of Vitamin Water (because it is delicious AND because it shares a bond with The Straight Edge).

Today i went with the Chile Relleno from Mex Tex, which is something that i had when i was in Austin and kinda liked, but wanted to give a second chance. I opted for the spicier of the two salsa choices, and it really had a kick to it. Definitely good the second time around.

Seth was all amped to get teriyaki chicken from sogo, so i went with an order of the sweet dried tofu roll. Nothing too crazy today, just a light lunch since i had a bit of a stomach ache. The San Pellegrino was a nice touch too.

I'm making a comeback here at My Lunch, and today's lunch was a great way to set that off. We decided on Chinese, and I took Giancarlo's lead and strayed from my usual tofu dish. We both got an order of vegetable lo mein with tofu. After finishing it, i decided that i have a new standby at New Wok. This lunch was legit.

Every Easter my Mom cooks a big meal, and today was no exception. I had the mashed potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, asparagus and a garlic dinner roll. Everything was delicious, but the mashed potato casserole was the highlight for me. It was something I haven't had before, but it is definitely something I would eat again.

I won a free lunch from Mex Tex through a business card raffle, and today was the day we used it. I got the veggie burger with cheese and extra avocado and I split a side of chips and salsa with Giancarlo. The burger here is always good, and the addition of avocado really adds to the taste.

I went to Mama's today for the first time in months, and surprisingly i was not disappointed with my meal. I got a slice of the white pizza (that has the ricotta cheese on top) and an order of french fries. The slice was good, although it was a little skinny for my liking. The fries were alright, but they could have been cooked a little longer.

Gian, lore and I all went to Philly to get dim sum at New Harmony (which is one of the best vegan Chinese restaurants I've ever eaten at) and i had to get something to take back with me, so i went with the general tso's chicken. It's hard to get good mock meats around here, so it's nice to be able to have something like this every once in awhile. Definitely one of the better lunches I've had lately.

This is one of the better veggie burgers I've had around here. It has a spicy cheese, a slice of avocado, lettuce and onion. All of those make for an interesting flavor, and the slightly toasted bun is a nice touch. Definitely something to check out if you're into this kinda thing.

This is the only thing i have ever ordered from New Wok, and from what I'm told it's the only good tofu dish they have. Gian always orders it extra crispy, which makes it that much better.

I had to make flyers for a show today, so i decided to grab food at Cali Burrito which was down the street. I got my usual Humboldt with crushed chips. For those not in the know, the Humboldt comes with smoked tofu, rice, beans, sour cream and salsa. Check this place out if you are in Allentown.

They just started offering veggie burgers here, and you would think that for a new menu item there is a possibility of it sucking, but that is not the case with this veggie burger. It reminds me of the veggie burger that mark's used to have before they switched to ones that blow. It had lettuce, onions, american cheese and spicy mayonnaise. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite new lunch spots.

Friday I went to the health food store down the street from work to get Ray's Seitan, which is one of the best fake meats i've had. I cooked it in a stir fry with fresh green pepper, corn, carrots and green beans. Once it was cooked i added a sweet teriyaki sauce to it, which worked really well with all of the ingrediants. In the end, it turned out great and was a delicious lunch.

I'm sure i've said it before, but to reiterate, Antonio's is my favorite pizza place in Easton. Today i switched it up and went with a small salad. It was topped with black and green olives, pieces of provolone cheese and parmesan cheese. I had the house Italian dressing on it as well.

Tom, Cody and I decided to go to the all you can eat pizza buffet for lunch today, and i like to think that i took full advantage of that offer. This was plate number one of five (i think) which totaled to 10 slices all together. Here i have the mac and cheese pizza and the spinach white pizza, but i also had the plain and veggie pizza as well. After slice #10 i decided to call it a day, and skipped out on desert.

Before leaving for class I had two slices of pizza that Lore gave to me yesterday. He told me that it was the "pizza from hell" that will be on the menu at Uncle Giacomo's Pizza, and that title was no understatement. Aside from the jalapeno peppers on top of the pizza, he told me that there was a habanero pepper in the sauce, so there was no avoiding the heat. Being the fan of spicy foods that I am, I was way into it. Everything tasted great, and i am anticipating the next pizza creation that comes my way courtesy of Lore.

I ate here once over the summer and thought it was pretty good, so I decided to try it again. I got an american cheese hoagie with lettuce, onions and a pickle. the sandwich was really good, and the bread was perfect. Not a bad way to spend a lunch, in my opinion.

I decided to switch it up today and get the mexican veggie burger that they have on the menu, and I'm glad that I did. Aside from the usual burger toppings of lettuce and onion it included avocado, which was a nice touch. The burger tasted great, as did the chips and salsa that Gian and I had on the side.

Antonio's is probably my favorite pizza place in Easton. It has everything I look for in a pizza place, good atmosphere, good people and good food. Today I got the eggplant parm sandwich, and it was just as good as it looked. Despite some doubts from my co-workers, I ate the whole thing.

So this Saladworks opened up down the road from my house about a month ago and i finally decided to check it out today. I didn't really know what to expect, but it always seemed busy so i figured it had to be good. I got the veggie wrap with lettuce, carrots, green peppers, broccoli, onions and italian dressing. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't worth the $7 i paid for it. I also had some of the salsa that Rachel had sent to me with those pico de gallo chips, which was incredibly good.

I was looking to break up the monotony and get something different today, so i went with the szechuan bean curd from China King. It also came with carrots, onions, water chestnuts (gross) and green peppers. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as the general tso's sauce. The vegetables also outnumbered the bean curd, so that was kind of a bummer too.

Like most Saturday lunches, the decision goes to majority rule and today it went to Pearly Bakers. The best part of today's lunch was that my boss paid for it because Gian, Seth and I spent the morning completely cleaning the shop. I went with my usual veggie burger with American cheese. I put about 10 more french fries on after i took this picture, and used the two ketchup packets i had on it as well.

Today was the start of what would be a few day long sickness (which is why i'm posting this a few days late) and the introduction of a sore throat prompted me to go for soup. With a strong recommendation from the owner, i decided to get the fava bean and cactus soup. I really didn't know what to expect when i started it, but the more i ate it the more i got into it. This is the first time i've had cactus, and aside from the awkward first taste, i didn't hate it.

I'm getting more accustomed to Pino's, as this is the third time i have had it, and it has improved each time. I love pizza and bagels, so the combination of the two just makes sense to me.

Seth decided that today was pizza day (something that i had no problems with), so we ordered a medium plain from Pino's. Now i know some people were up in arms about my previous statements regarding this certain pizza place, but since that pizza came from the Nazareth store and today's came from the Easton store, i went into this lunch with an open mind. The pizza was pretty good, and the french fries were not too bad, but could have been cooked a bit more. It didn't take long for me to start putting the french fries on the pizza.

SS and Jaz's Wedding

Today two of my good friends got married, and following the ceremony i indulged in the biggest lunch to be posted yet. The reception was set up as a potluck, so there was a ton of amazing food for vegans and non vegans alike. My first plate consisted of black beans and rice, pasta salad (which had pieces of eggplant, tomatoes, olives and feta cheese), a cheese sandwhich and barbeque seitan (which was exceptionally good).

Plate number two was just as good. The baked ziti that Justin made was as good as always, although it looked like he didn't put as much vegan cheese on it as he did in the past. I managed to grab a little more of the seitan (it was really that good!) and i tried a piece of the pierogie casserole that Joe Beers had made, which was hands down the best part of my lunch. There was a few other dishes that i wanted to try (like the homemade hummus) but by the time i finished plate two it was time for the cake and i had to leave some room for that.

For lunch today Gian and I decided to go with Pearly Bakers. I had my usual harvest burger with American cheese and no tomato. While it always seems to fill me up, i can't help but notice that they have been skimping on the amount of fries you get on the side. That small gripe aside, the food tasted great, and that's why i will continue to walk across the circle in freezing wind and shitty weather to get it.

I was really in a mood to not make lunch today, so in my haste to look for something quick and cheap i went to wegmans for their chinese buffet. I ended up getting the general tso's tofu with green beans and vegetable fried rice. For a grocery store, their tofu really isn't that bad. The only thing that sucks is that the price goes by weight, so i spent a little more than i would have liked.

Today was pretty cold, so i really had no other option than to get soup. This prompted me to go to Betty's for the first time this year for the vegetarian chili that they had on special. This was always my favorite soup to get when i worked there, and it's still as good as i remember it being. My only complaint is that i needed more that 4 saltines, but didn't have any on hand. Otherwise of that, it was a much better lunch than yesterday.

So it was back to Jersey for lunch today, and much like the state it came from, lunch today was disappointing. For reason's i can't understand they made my sandwich on the most stale piece of bread i have ever tried to eat, and to add insult to injury they put some disgusting vinegar dressing on it (and i fucking HATE vinegar). I normally don't like wasting food, but after suffering through about half of this sandwich i threw it in the trash.

I had eaten at this place once before and it was pretty good, so i was hoping it would continue that streak. I went with the broccoli, mozzarella and pepper pizza that was on special. I also loaded it up with crushed red pepper, basil and garlic. The crust was thick, but not too thick and the two different kinds of cheese provided a good contrast. Definitely a place to check out if you're in Bethlehem.

Today is the first instance of a guest lunch, as the mexican veggie burger pictured above belonged to Giancarlo Demarchi (of Easton Crew fame). I had the burrito and enchilada meal served with spanish rice and refried beans. We split a large order of chips and salsa on top of all of that, and the end result was a satisfying lunch and a full stomach.

Last night my mom made vegetarian chili with imitation ground beef, kidney beans, chick peas, green and red peppers and a few other things we had around the kitchen. On the outside it looks like a pretty standard cheese hoagie, but the toppings really make it stand out. Every time that I order from this place they change up the veggies, and today was no exception. A full pickle spear, lettuce, onions and jalapeno peppers. The bread is probably the best i have ever had with a sandwich.
